PS4, Xbox One PRICE DROP: Xbox One X and PS4 Pro leading to cut price consoles?

SONY and Microsoft could be about to make the PS4 and Xbox One even cheaper.

SP4 and Xbox One could receive price cuts later this year.

That’s according to hardware manufacturer Turtle Beach, whose CEO Juergen Stark is banking on a sales boost if the price predictions come to fruition.

Stark believes that the release of the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will lead to Microsoft and Sony lowering the price of core models.

He said: “While not accounted for in our outlook explicitly, we think new hardware launches could also boost sales, particularly because they enable lower pricing of the economy models of Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

“All-in-all, assuming good sales of marquee game titles, we see a very strong holiday season for our headset business.”

Stark isn’t the only person to predict a PS4 price cut this holiday season.

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter believes the PS4 and PS4 Pro will receive price cuts to entice new fans.

“I don’t think Microsoft is all that competitive,” Pachter previously told.

“Xbox One S is priced the same as the PS4, and I don’t think they are competitive at all with the Xbox One X, currently priced at $100 more than the PS4 Pro, and highly likely to be priced $150 more than the PS4 Pro by Holiday.

“My guess is, Sony will cut the everyday PS4 price to $249, and the PS4 Pro price to $349 this Holiday, and Microsoft will be too expensive, so Sony will keep its price advantage this Holiday.”
